Tamra Sheffman and Kristen Jurn are proud to be participating in the 2008 Air Race Classic, the premier transcontinental flying competition for female pilots. The tradition of this longest-running all-women race dates back to 1929.
The 2008 Air Race Classic will be a cross-country adventure of approximately 2,400 statute miles that this year starts in Bozeman, Montana (BZN) and finishes in Mansfield, Massachusetts (1B9).
This year we will be known as Classic 8 !
We departed from Opa-Locka (OPF) airport in Miami, Florida on June 16th, 2008, in a single-engine 1976 Cessna Skylane 182P (N37TJ). We are the only team from the Miami area participating in the 32nd annual all-women transcontinental 2008 Air Race Classic.
